I really like Katy Lemay work as it uses a vast amount of medias throughout the illustration. The way the imagery uses colour effectively. I also feel that the illustrations has a real depth in how the imagery is constructed.

Growing Buisness Cards

How do you make your business card stand out? Make it grow! This little number transforms from a regular business card to miniature house plant, sprouting alfalfa or cress when watered. Who wouldn’t want this on their desk? Really quirkey and smart idea, think this approarch is quite unique and original. Should take this using more mixed media into my work to give it more originality.

Characters at War enables visitors to meet the elite of international character design literally eye-to-eye. From Hello Kitty to Emily the Strange: hundreds of all time favourites and shiny newcomers from the flat-faced world of graphical character design are pushing through to the third dimension! The loveliest, cutest, and strangest characters stand tall as life-size cardboard stand-up soldiers arranged in a gigantic walkthrough battlefield installation. Really nice characters,want to take influences to develop my own character sgyle.

Belio magazine edition 21, all about recycling and trash

This is a magazine that i picked up while in barcelona. I found the illustration really inspiring, to the styles of illustration that i want to incorpirate into my work. I like the use of different medias throughtout the work.

These illustrations come from the book Freitsel 3. This book shows the best contempary illustration in Europe. I find a lot of different influences as the book show a lot of different approaches to illustration.
